The name
A butterfly tiger, and a marvel.
Tigre Mariposa — the Butterfly Tiger — is a South American name for the jaguar, whose rosettes look like wings pressed into fur. Maravilloso is Spanish for marvelous. Marivosso is both at once: the jaguar's authority, the butterfly's transformation, and the marvelous beauty of the natural world.
It is also the evolution of a name some of you already know. Shamantee became Marivosso — same hands, same jaguar, a clearer idea of what the work is for.
Where it comes from
The hands that tend the soil design the art you wear.
The prints are not sourced. They come out of the same practice as the land work — a photographer and regenerative rancher who works between Medellín and Vermont, born to a photographer and a jazz musician, designing clothing from what the seasons put in front of the camera.
The same hands run cattle on holistic grazing, photograph the land, and draw the patterns. That is the whole trick, and it is not a marketing angle: a person who spends the season in the soil sees the Turkey Tail mushroom in its architectural glory, the coastal wildflowers at last light, a palm frond refracting geometry — and then has something true to print.
Two sibling projects carry the other halves of it. Osso Lovo is the photography and the artist's own page. Green Bee Farms is the regenerative farming — a Vermont nonprofit that gives its methods away.

Nothing is printed until you order it, so there is no warehouse of unsold garments and no dead stock to burn. It costs a few days; it saves the part that matters.

Because the piece was made for you, we can't take it back over size or fit. The size chart is on every product page — or write first and we'll help you get it right.
If it arrives wrong
